Why Choose Corporate Housing in Houston, Texas?

A year-long lease isn’t always the best option. Sometimes you’re only going to be in a certain area for a few months for work or school-related reasons. Instead of dealing with the hassle of moving all of your belongings into a new place, why not move in somewhere that comes already furnished?

Why corporate housing?

When it comes to short-term housing, corporate housing isn’t the only option. You might look into subletting or staying in a hotel, but we wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. Before making a decision, you need to consider the length of your stay and how long you’re willing to go without certain amenities that are often taken for granted, like a kitchen. Hotels, which can get expensive, usually don’t have a full kitchen or the same comforts of home, and sublets are nice, but you’re living in someone else’s house, meaning you’re responsible for all of their stuff, and you might have a roommate or two. For these reasons alone, corporate housing has more pros than cons.

There’s no place like home

Corporate housing rentals are usually equipped with all furniture and utilities, but you’re allowed to make the space your own. Just because you’re only staying in a place for a few months doesn’t mean you can’t be comfortable and enjoy your surroundings. Add some personal touches to make your new place feel like home. Kuhl-Linscomb is a nationally-recognized Houston design landmark. What originally started as a design firm grew into a full-blown design and lifestyle store that carries home decor, lighting fixtures and rugs, in addition to things like furniture, pet supplies and electronics.

Get to know the area

You’ll only be in your new home for a short time, but enjoy it while it lasts by getting to know your new city. Houston’s transportation service, METRO, operates bus and rail services around the city. It’s a safe, cost-effective method of navigating your new surroundings. If you drive, make sure you know the rules and regulations when it comes to parking in town. The City of Houston Parking Management Division’s website offers helpful parking tips and you can also order parking permits through them. Let’s eat

One of the major benefits of living in corporate housing is having unlimited access to a fully-furnished kitchen, allowing you to cook at home instead of relying on frozen dinners, room service or take out. There are lots of grocery stores in the area, like The Fresh Market and Whole Foods Market, that sell produce and other items to stock your fridge and pantry.

Living out of a suitcase is never an ideal situation. Even if you’ll be staying in Houston for a short amount of time, you still want to feel comfortable, and choosing corporate housing allows you to do just that.
